About Intaba Thulile
Intaba Thulile, peaceful mountain, is a 450 hectare private game farm within the Magaliesburg Nature Conservancy.
As it is within easy access to Johannesburg approximately 80 km west and some 90 km from Pretoria, it is a perfect distance for getaway weekend for those seeking refuge from the rigors of urban stress.
The rolling savannah grassland plain, pristine bush, and the distinctive suikerbos and kiepersol tress are guarded over by the imposing amber cliffs of the mountain. With its abundant birdlife, and variety of trees, ferns, flowers and grasses, the reserve is a delight for birdwatchers and botanists.
It is a paintbox of colours: greens of every hue; reds, yellows, whites, blues and pinks of the many flowers. With a variety of buck as well as warthog, jackal, ostriches, and a pair of gorgeous, graceful giraffe, game viewers will not be disappointed.
We offer self-catering accommodation in lovely wooden chalets set amongst the trees and with stunning views of the mountain.
Simply relax on the comfortable deck and bask in the peace while you listen to the sounds of nature and gaze upon the unforgettable views; or actively explore the ancient kloofs, the cliffs, the crevices, and the extraordinary rock formations. We offer hiking, walking, mountain biking, swimming, game viewing and horse riding.
Covid Safety Approved: We pledge to implement a high standard of hygiene and cleaning protocols to ensure the safest environment possible for our guests. We adhere to the industry safety protocols set out by the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA).
