About Ocean Vista Boutique Guest House

Our story...

Tranquillity, privacy, warm hospitality, caring staff and a magnificent roof-top deck with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, making every stay at Ocean Vista a memorable experience.

Contemporary yet warm, designed to make the most of our amazing ocean views and geared towards discerning travellers, we offer upmarket location, personalized service, 7 beautifully equipped ocean view bedrooms, delicious breakfast with a view, pool, luxurious bathroom amenities and a serene, elegant environment where at the end of a busy day you can unwind watching ships on the horizon or just listening to the ocean and very much feel at home.

Lunch or dinner can be enjoyed at many very good restaurants only a short drive from the guest house and we are always happy to guide you where to dine and shop and what to see.

We regret no children under 12 and not wheelchair friendly.

Safari: Situated in a lush suburb of Durban we are often visited by a troop of Vervet monkeys living in the area...not really a safari but for many of our guests seeing monkeys at play at breakfast time is really a memorable experience.

Beach: While we are located just 1km from the La Lucia beach please note it is not a swimming beach. For the best beach experience and additional facilities we recommend going to Umhlanga Rocks beaches, 2-3km down the road from us.

Spa: We do no offer spa services at this stage but can arrange for a massage on the premises or book an appointment at the preferred salon.

Golf: With 4 golf courses within 12km from the guest house : Durban Country Club, Beachwood Golf Course, Royal Durban Golf Club, Mount Edgecombe Golf Club ( Course One and Two) Ocean Vista is very well located to be a base for golfers coming to Durban.

Romantic: Ocean Vista provides intimate and very beautiful setting and we gladly meet requests for romantic touches, for couples choosing to staying with us for their special occasions.

Covid Safety Approved: We have adopted all recommended screening protocols and further upgraded our meticulous cleaning procedures. Our staff is briefed on the risks associated with Covid-19 and all routines will be done mindful of anti-transmission measures.

                              I found everything about this beautiful place perfect and cannot think of anything that would improve it. The staff were absolutely wonderful and helpful.
