About The Guardians

The Guardians are situated on a working farm at the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg, in the busy little town of Elliot, which offers wonderful activities against a backdrop of dramatic mountain scenery. The Guardians is just 5 km out of town.

The Guardians offers accommodation in a beautiful setting, in luxurious thatched cottages and family units. Guests have a choice of self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation, with dinner available by prior arrangement.

Activities in the surrounding area include rock art sites, fly-fishing, horse riding, hiking trails, and 4x4 trails.

Wedding Venues: There is a 43 seater Chapel with a mountain view for weddings. Please inquire for price.

                              The greeting on arrival was " do not feed the dogs " during the stay the children were shouted at for playing and running around, which by rights children run, the hospitality was absolutely horrific. The kitchen cupboards were so under stocked that we had to go and purchase our own cookware. And just to top it all off our trailers spare tyre was stolen in the parking lot!!!!!!!! How do I rate this stay? I have never been happier to be home than I am now!
