THE OLD HATCHERY - UNDERBERG
Affordable and comfortable B&B and Self-catering accommodation just 10 km from Underberg in the Southern Drakensberg of Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa. We provide free parking, Free Wi-Fi and and a-la carte restaurant on site. Our tranquil setting, located near Horse Riding trails, Mountain Biking trails, Hiking Routes, Golf Courses, Trout Fishing waters and of course the famous Sani Pass In Lesotho.
We are situated 1 hour from Howick on the N3 Route and 1 hour from Kokstad, making Underberg the ideal location from which to explore the majestic mountains of the Southern Drakensberg. We are on the route between Johannesburg and Seaside Resorts of the South Coast and the Wild Coast making this the ideal location to stopover for the night.
We offer Bed and Breakfast, Room only, Self-catering and full board options in our various units.
Accommodation / Room Types:
Bed and Breakfast: We have 15 comfortable en-suite rooms that can be set as king or twin beds. All rooms have bathroom/shower facilities, tea/coffee trays and DStv.
This is a self-catering cottage which is a popular choice for families and small groups. There is one king-size room with TV and the other two rooms can either be twin or king-size. One of these rooms have TV. Kitchen/lounge open plan and kitchen complete onto a verandah with views of the beautiful Drakensberg mountains.
Mountain Cottages: We have 3 of these delightful little cabins that are suitable for couples. Each of them has a bathroom, kitchenette and braai facilities. From the parking area, you walk along the wooden decking and over our gorgeous waterfall to get to the cabins.
