The Woodpecker Inn offers the comforts of country living, nestled in a park-like setting in Birdswood. Whether on business or leisure, the inn offers a comfortable stay in a peaceful and tranquil environment.

The inn provides guests with a choice of staying in lovely Twin Rooms or Double Rooms with en-suite bathrooms. The rooms are furnished with either comfortable twin or double beds and each room is air-conditioned and equipped with a Satellite TV, fridges, coffee & tea facilities and FREE WIFI!

Guests can enjoy delicious full buffet or á la carte breakfasts in the on-site restaurant, The Peck Inn Room, and light evening meals are also available. Coffee and tea are provided throughout the day and The Peccadillo Cocktail Bar is fully licensed for guests to enjoy a drink at the end of the day or relax around the pool and in the lapa. Secure parking is provided and there are two conference venues equipped DVD or CD players, flipcharts, white boards and data projectors; they seat between 40 and 110 delegates.

Richards Bay offers a range of attractions and activities such as Scuba Diving, fishing, birdwatching, surfing, swimming and canoeing. Guests can also take a scenic drive, visit the various nature reserves or play a round of golf at either Richards Bay or Empangeni Golf Course which is just a short drive away.

Beach: Woodpecker Inn is only a quick 7 minute drive from the main swimming beach and the waterfront area.

Spa: Woodpecker Inn has an on-site Wellness Spa called - Arabella Spa Excellence. Facials,Tinting & Make - up,Massages,Waxing,Manicure,Pedicure,Chemical peel,Salon and so much more can be done when in Arabella Spa at Woodpecker Inn.

Wedding Venues: We do it all! Reception area for groups up to 180 people, garden weddings, 2 Honeymoon suites, Center pieces, Inhouse DJ, Full Catering, Wedding Cakes.

Conference Venues: There are two conference venues equipped with DATA projectors, DVD, CD players, flipcharts, white boards and overhead projectors. They can accommodate between 40 and 110 delegates.

Family friendly: Scuba Diving in Richards Bay, Sodwana Reefs, Durban Wrecks and Dive training up to Dive Master level. Deep Sea Fishing, whale and dolphin watching trips available as well.
